This Music Monday I have a special treat for you. Last weeks Thursday I went on a little café concert, and there was this Swedish artist named Mattias Blomqvist whom played the guitar and sang his original songs. I am now going to direct you to my YouTube channel to check him out, when live.

But Thomas is curious and wants to find a way out of camp and out of the maze. He breaks the rules and follows a maze runner in order to rescue a friend but that’s only the start. He then becomes a maze runner and …

I thought that this movie was absolutely brilliant and amazing. It inspired me to continue working on a secret project and one of the characters mentioned that it’s not to live in the past it’s to live in the now. That is a great saying. As for me, this movie gets 8/10 stars.

Country: United States

Cinematography: Kamal Derkaoni
Editing: Richard Schwadel
Production company: MarVista, Two 4 the money media

Tara is known as the shy girl in school but what nobody knows that she is the one the entire school is listening to. She is Radio Rebel. Tara gets discovered by her step father once he barges into her room (he’s not like the antagonist of the movie) and he thinks that she’s very good with her radio channel and wants to hire her to work at his job at SLAM FM. There’s only one thing that the entire school wants to know, who is Radio Rebel?

I thought that this movie was really good and inspiring to start a radio channel but I don’t know about that. I guess I’m too used to write instead of talking. This movie is also an 8/10 stars, it has almost everything and I would list this movie as a feel good movie.

Lyric Videos

What is a lyric video?

A lyric video is a video with words (& pictures) that you can see whilst listening to them.

Why do we have lyric videos?

We have lyric videos because first of all it's the internet (what did you expect?), second of all because some people likes to watch films/videos instead of reading texts. Then third of all we have it for entertainment.

Why does people create lyric videos?

People creates lyric videos mainly for entertainment.

My opinion is that lyric videos takes the lyrics themselves to a whole new level and it increases an understanding of the actual meaning of the song. Take me for an example, I want to learn Introducing Me from Camp Rock 2 (preformed by Nick Jonas) I find the lyric video on YouTube and this is what I see:

I then memorise the lyrics by the pictures and formulations that I've seen. There are many more great examples of learning songs and this is one of them. Here are a few more lyric videos that are creative:

Katy Perry, Birthday

That's it for today's Music Monday, make sure to come back for more. I'm your writer Johanna Jay and I now say:

The Kadam family has run a restaurant in Mumbai for several years, but then after election there was a fire in their village and the Kadam family lost their loving mother and their lovely restaurant, but the chef of the family Hassan had hopes. Hopes for food. The Kadam family firstly moved to England but then moved to France where they by an accident ended up in a little village. In this little village the father of the Kadam family finds an old restaurant that after some explaining and discussion the family opened their own restaurant. Hassan explored new foods and the other restaurant next door (aka their competition). The restaurant next door has earned a Michelin Star and when Hassan meets the sous chef things starts to happen. But what? You'd have to watch in order to know.

I think that this movie is something special because it's about something that I love - food and as one of the quotes I noted "food are like memories". This is one of my food memories and it may take a hundred-foot journey to make it. But we all have to make it, don't we? To win the battle in our own life. I give this movie a 10/10 stars, it has everything that I enjoy watching and I recommend you to watch it.

Language: Swedish, Norwegian
Country: Sweden
Director: Ruben Östlund
Producers: Erik Hemmendroff & Marie Kjellson
Screenplay: Ruben Östlund
Studio: Plattform Produktion

Premiere: May 18th, 2014 (Cannes)
3 Notable Actors: Johannes Ban Kuhnke, Lisa Lonen Kongsli & Kristofer Hivju

Tomas and his wife Ebba, with their kids Vera & Harry, goes to vacation in the Alps (during 5 days). On their second day they were almost struck by an avalanche but it was a false alarm so they turned out alright. However when this happened Tomas ran away from his family which causes a crisis within the family.

It was an amazingly slow start but once the movie took it's speed up it was alright. The editing in this movie was really special because of the movie being so slow for starting up until it got it's flow. The music was also really interesting because it was the same type of recording playing all over again but in different moments so you actually felt a different feeling every time. I give this movie a 5/10 stars, it was kind of fun.

Hope you enjoyed reading this Movie Weekend and I'll see you the week after next week. I'm your writer Johanna Jay and I wish you a pleasant start of the week.

Bye for now and Hello for later!

The Comeback

Dear readers

As you can tell by the title I've come back to this blog and guess what. (What?) It's time for an explanation.

I did travel to USA, and arrived at my destination the 5th of August and started to miss home already. I went to college and gave it 3 weeks and 3 days until I decided that it was nothing for me. I felt that I wasn't quite ready to live by myself, even though I lived with room mates I couldn't really handle everything as I thought I would. I was homesick a lot too and then decided the 29th of August that it was time to get safely back home because nothing felt right anymore. So I did, I travelled home by myself the 31st of August and was home by the 1st of September.

Now I'm here, the 10th of September, my birthday and I give you a welcome cyber-hug to my web:
