Book Wednesday

Dear reader

Welcome to this Book Wednesday!

So, today I got a new book from the local library called Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I chose this book to read because I've seen it in a YouTube video and *spontaneous laughter* and I am also fascinated about the art of fangirling. I haven't read what it's about or anything and I'd love to be surprised by this book to see what it is really about. The book looks to thick on this picture but it's actually 433 pages long so it's a bit fat.

BUT Before I start on this book I have to read out Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins and Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. As I don't really like reading more than one book at a time believe me when I say 'it's going to take time'.

Hope you liked this little update on my readings this book wednesday and I'll write you later.

Bye for now and hello for later!

Music Monday

Dear reader

So, the majority of you guys that reads my stuff comes either from USA or Sweden. I thought that it would be fun to write something about either of USA or Sweden, but believe me when I say “it is too difficult” so I thought to make a cover that’s both popular in USA and Sweden. I already made a cover of one popular song in the USA, for that click this link.

Let’s now continue with what’s popular in Sweden. Here’s my cover of Thinking out Loud by Ed Sheeran, track 2 of Spotify’s Top List.

P.S. There's a new video coming out on my YouTube channel today!

Dear reader

Hello, I'm Johanna Jay and welcome to my blog!

For today, some of you may want to read a Movie Weekend post but I'm sad to say that there'll be no movies for me to blog about this weekend as I'm taking a little break. However, there'll be a new Movie Weekend coming up for week 49. So stay tuned!

Thank you for reading my blog. It means a lot to me.

Books and Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award

Dear reader

It's time for the new segment I'd like to call books! <3 SO, currently I'm reading Mockingjay by Susanne Collins. And if you didn't know this is the third book in the book series Hunger Games.

Just last week I got nominated by my friend Johanna from the blog Böcker med Johanna, and I thank her for nominating me for this tag because personally I have never been nominated before.

Here are the exciting rules that I will follow:
1. Thank the blogger that nominated you, and link back to their site.
2. Post the award’s logo on your blog.
3. Answer the 10 questions that you have been asked.
4. Nominate 10 other bloggers and ask them 10 questions.

But before we start answering the questions I'd like to mention that I haven't read that many books lately :/ but I will answer all of them as honestly as I can.

1. Favourite main character and from which book?
So far it is Professor Lidenbrock from Journey To The Center of The Earth by Jules Verne.

2. A book/book series that has influenced you the most?
The Swedish book series of Flisan by Pia Hagmar.

3. A movie that you look forwards to the upcoming year?
For this year I'm excited to see The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - part 1 and for next year I'm as equally excited to see the second part!

4. Do you usually like to re-read books?
Yes.

5. With the presumption that you've read Harry Potter, which student home and why?
Gryffindor because -

6. Read the book before the movie, or doesn't it matter?
I would want to read the book before the movie because then I know what will happen but sometimes it just doesn't matter because of me being too lazy.

7. Which character do you dislike the most?
Umbridge (from the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling)

8. Do you like to read one book at a time or read many more at the same time?
One book at a time, other wise I mix the stories up and I don't remember what's happening in each book.

9. The ultimate length of a book?
500 pages.

10. Best side-kick character with a big heart?
Piglet from Winnie the Pooh. YES, I read children's books as well.

Typical enough I barely know any other bloggers except for my friend Johanna so sadly I cannot nominate anyone to do this. However, this was fun and I hope you enjoyed it.

Bye for now and hello for later!

Dear reader

So, I thought that it would be fun to write about something from either of those countries, but believe me when I say "it is too difficult" so I thought that it would be fun to make a cover instead. As a matter of fact blogger (the web I'm using to create this) doesn't let me upload a 200 mb for a video so, without further ado. Here's my very short cover of Stay with me by Sam Smith.

Movie Weekend

Dear reader

This weekend was a little crazy because I started watching this movie and let's just say that I didn't like it. I didn't like what I witnessed. So, therefore I won't mention it and I'll just present to you only 1 movie for this Movie Weekend.

Based on: If I Stay by Gayle Forman
Language: English
Country: US
Director: R. J. Cutler
Producer: Denise Di Novi, Alison Greenspan
Cinematography: John de Borman
Composer: Heitor Pereira
Editing: Keith Henderson
Distributed by: Warner Bros.
Release date: August 18th, 2014
3 notable actors: Chloe Grace Mortez, Jamie Blackley & Mireille Enos.

Mia plays the cello and gets a boyfriend but her life takes a spin once she and her family gets into a car crash. You'll follow Mia's life through flashbacks as she gets operation after operation. UNTIL ...

A movie with such emotion, I give you If I stay based on the book with the same title by Gayle Forman. I haven't read the book but I sure will because once I finished watching the movie I kept saying "It can't just end like that!". Though that it was a great movie and I rate it a 9/10.
